Virtual TryOn — Privacy Policy

Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how the Virtual TryOn Chrome extension ("Extension", "we", "our", or "us") handles user information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

Virtual TryOn allows you to upload a full-body photo of yourself, then right-click any clothing image on any shopping website and select "Try On This" from the context menu. The Extension opens ChatGPT in your browser and pastes both images so that ChatGPT Vision generates a preview of you wearing that clothing item.

Data Collection

Virtual TryOn does not collect any personal information or usage data. Specifically:

• We do not collect names, email addresses, or account information.
• We do not use analytics, tracking, or telemetry of any kind.
• We do not access or record your browsing history.
• We do not use remote code — no external JavaScript or WebAssembly is loaded.

The only data the Extension handles is the imagery you explicitly provide or select, as described in the Data Storage section below.

Data Storage

All data is stored locally on your device using chrome.storage.local and never leaves your device through our Extension.

No data is stored on any external server operated by us.

The Extension requests the following browser permissions, each used strictly for its stated purpose:

Third-Party Services

Virtual TryOn opens ChatGPT (chatgpt.com) by OpenAI in your browser and pastes images into the chat input. This interaction happens entirely within your own browser session using your own ChatGPT account.

We do not use the OpenAI API. You interact with ChatGPT directly, and that interaction is governed by OpenAI's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

We are not responsible for how OpenAI processes images or data submitted through ChatGPT. We encourage you to review OpenAI's privacy practices.

Data Sharing & Transfer

We do not sell, trade, transfer, or share your data with any third party. Specifically:

• We do not sell or transfer user data to third parties.
• We do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to the Extension's core functionality.
• We do not use or transfer user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
• We do not use user data for advertising or targeted marketing.

User Rights & Data Deletion

You have full control over your data at all times:

• Remove your photo: Click the "Remove Photo" button in the Extension popup to delete your saved full-body photo at any time.
• Uninstall the Extension: Uninstalling Virtual TryOn from your browser automatically deletes all locally stored data associated with the Extension.

Because we do not store any data on external servers, there is no additional data to request deletion of.

Children's Privacy

Virtual TryOn is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data through the Extension, please contact us so that we can address the concern.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of the Extension after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
