Welcome to CoupleVault (“the App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). CoupleVault is a private, safe digital space designed exclusively for couples to share memories, chats, and photos securely. We are deeply committed to protecting your privacy and the privacy of your relationship.

This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and your rights over it. By using CoupleVault, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address and a securely hashed version of your password. We never store your password in plain text.
• Profile Information: Any profile details you voluntarily provide, such as your name or profile photo.
• User-Generated Content: Chats (text messages) and photos you share within the App. All such content is encrypted before being stored in the cloud (see Section 4).
• Usage Data: Device type, operating system, app version, session durations, feature interactions, and crash reports. This data is collected through Google Analytics to help us improve the App.
• Advertising Data: Anonymised identifiers used to serve relevant ads through our third-party advertising partners. We do not share personally identifiable information with advertisers.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the App and its features.
• To authenticate your identity and keep your account secure.
• To deliver and sync your encrypted content (chats and photos) across your devices.
• To analyse usage patterns via Google Analytics and improve user experience.

4. Encryption and Data Security

The privacy of your relationship is central to CoupleVault. All chats and photos you store in the App are encrypted before being uploaded to our cloud infrastructure. This means that your personal content is stored in an encrypted format and is not accessible in readable form to our team or any unauthorised party.

We use industry-standard encryption protocols and follow security best practices to protect your data at rest and in transit. While no system can guarantee absolute security, we continuously work to keep your information safe.

5. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to collect anonymised usage data such as session counts, feature usage, and device information. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar tracking technologies. 6. Advertising

CoupleVault displays third-party advertisements to support the free tier of the App. Our advertising partners may collect anonymised identifiers (such as advertising IDs) to serve relevant ads. We do not share your email address, photos, chats, or any personally identifiable information with advertisers.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by adjusting the advertising settings on your device.

7. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data in the following limited circumstances:

• Service Providers: Trusted third-party vendors who help us operate the App (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics). They are bound by confidentiality obligations and may only use data to perform services for us.
• Legal Compliance: When required by law, court order, or a valid legal process.
• Safety: When necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of CoupleVault, our users, or the public.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account data and user-generated content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App's services. Usage and analytics data is retained in aggregated, anonymised form. Upon account deletion (see Section 9), your personal data and content are permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

9. How to Delete Your Data

You have the right to request deletion of all your personal data, including your account, chats, and photos stored in CoupleVault. To submit a deletion request, send an email to:

We will process your request within 7 business days and send you a confirmation once your data has been permanently deleted.

10. Children's Privacy

CoupleVault is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we will promptly delete that account and all associated data.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you within the App. Your continued use of CoupleVault after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using CoupleVault, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms apply to all users of CoupleVault worldwide.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use CoupleVault. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. We reserve the right to terminate accounts found to belong to minors.

3. Account Registration

CoupleVault offers email and password-based registration. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and truthful information during registration.
• Maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account credentials.
• All activity that occurs under your account.

4. Intended Use

CoupleVault is designed as a private, safe digital space for two individuals in a romantic relationship. The App is intended for personal, non-commercial use only. You may use CoupleVault to share chats, photos, and memories with your partner within the platform.

5. Prohibited Conduct and Usage Limits

To maintain a safe and respectful environment, the following actions are strictly prohibited:

• Uploading, sharing, or storing content that is illegal, obscene, defamatory, threatening, harassing, or that violates the rights of others.
• Uploading content that constitutes non-consensual intimate imagery (“revenge porn”) or child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind. Such violations will result in immediate account termination and may be reported to law enforcement.
• Attempting to access another user's account or data without authorisation.
• Using the App for commercial purposes, spam, or advertising without our prior written consent.
• Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract the source code of the App.
• Using automated scripts, bots, or tools to scrape or interact with the App in ways not intended by its design.
• Circumventing or attempting to bypass any usage limits, rate limits, or security controls built into the App.
• Impersonating another person or entity.

We reserve the right to implement and enforce usage limits at our discretion to prevent abuse of the system and to ensure equitable service for all users. Accounts found to be in violation of these limits or the above prohibitions may be suspended or permanently terminated.

6. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of all content (chats, photos, etc.) you create and store within CoupleVault. By uploading content to the App, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of operating and delivering the App's services to you.

You are solely responsible for the content you upload and share. We do not endorse any user-generated content and are not liable for content posted by users.

7. Advertising

CoupleVault may display advertisements served by third-party ad networks. These ads help us offer the App free of charge. By using the App, you agree to the display of such advertisements. We do not endorse any advertised products or services.

8. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in CoupleVault, including its design, code, branding, and non-user-generated content, are owned by or licensed to us. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our prior written permission.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

CoupleVault is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or our Privacy Policy, or if your use of the App poses a risk to other users or the platform.

You may request deletion of your account at any time by following the process described in Section 9 of the Privacy Policy above.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the App or by email. Your continued use of CoupleVault after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
