for Heloq

By downloading, installing, or using Heloq ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App. These terms govern your access to and use of Heloq's services.
What Heloq Is
Heloq is a nutrition and calorie tracking app that uses artificial intelligence to help you log meals, estimate nutrition, track progress, and manage your health goals. The App is a tool to assist your personal health journey.
â ī¸ What Heloq Is NOT
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU) to use Heloq. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
Your Account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
- You must provide accurate profile information (age, weight, height) for meaningful recommendations
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the App for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to access other users' data or accounts
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Upload malicious, offensive, or illegal content
- Use the App to promote eating disorders, extreme restriction, or self-harm
- Manipulate or falsify health data
- Scrape, crawl, or automatically extract data from the App
- Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the App
- Use ad blockers or tools to circumvent the App's advertising system
AI-Generated Content
- All nutrition estimates, meal suggestions, and AI insights are approximations only
- AI responses may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate
- Verify critical nutrition information independently, especially for allergies or medical requirements
- The App may misidentify foods in photos or provide incorrect portion estimates â use your own judgment
đĄ We continuously work to improve AI accuracy but cannot guarantee it.
Health & Safety
- If you experience symptoms of an eating disorder, seek help from a qualified professional
- The App will never recommend fewer than 1,200 kcal/day for women or 1,500 kcal/day for men
- If you have a medical condition (diabetes, kidney disease, heart conditions, pregnancy), consult your doctor first
- Exercise suggestions are general estimates â consult a fitness professional if needed
đŠē The App includes safeguards (minimum calorie thresholds, healthy warnings) but is not a substitute for clinical care.
Advertising
Heloq is a free app supported by advertisements served through Google AdMob.
- Ads may appear as banners or occasional full-screen interstitials
- Ad content is provided by Google â Heloq does not control which specific ads are displayed
- On iOS, you'll be asked whether to allow personalized ad tracking via App Tracking Transparency
- Your health data, meal logs, weight data, and HealthKit data are never shared with ad networks
- You may not use ad-blocking tools to interfere with ads
- Heloq may offer a premium ad-free experience through paid subscription in the future
Subscriptions & Payments
Heloq offers optional premium features ("Heloq Pro") through auto-renewing subscriptions, managed entirely through Apple's App Store.
Subscription Plans
Heloq Pro is available as a monthly or yearly subscription. Current pricing is displayed on the upgrade screen within the App. Prices may vary by region and are set in accordance with Apple's App Store pricing tiers.
Free Trial
Heloq may offer a free trial period for eligible plans. If a free trial is offered, you will not be charged during the trial period. Your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial expires. Eligibility for free trials is determined by Apple and is typically limited to one trial per Apple ID.
Billing & Renewal
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase (or at the end of the free trial, if applicable). Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the then-current subscription rate.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID Account Settings (Settings â Apple ID â Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period â you will retain access to Pro features until then. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period.
Refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple through their support channels or at reportaproblem.apple.com. Heloq does not have the ability to process refunds.
Price Changes
We may change subscription pricing from time to time. Price changes will apply to the next billing cycle after the change. Apple will notify you of any price increases and require your consent before renewal at the new price, in accordance with App Store policies.
What You Get
Heloq Pro includes: unlimited AI-powered photo scans, AI-powered daily insights, restaurant menu scanner, craving control tools, and an ad-free experience. The specific features included in Pro may be updated over time. Feature changes will be communicated through the App.
Downgrade to Free
If your subscription expires or is cancelled, you will retain access to all your existing data (meal logs, weight history, progress photos). You will revert to the free tier's feature limits, including daily photo scan limits and ad-supported experience.
đ We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information. All billing is handled securely by Apple.
Intellectual Property
- The App, its design, code, AI models, branding, and content are owned by Heloq and protected by intellectual property laws
- Your data (meals, photos, weight logs) remains yours. We do not claim ownership of your personal data
- You grant us a limited license to process your data solely for providing the App's services
Third-Party Services
The App integrates with the following third-party services, each with their own terms and privacy policies:
Firebase (Google)
Authentication and cloud database
Google AdMob
Advertising network for displaying banner and interstitial ads
Anthropic (Claude AI)
AI-powered food analysis, nutrition estimation, meal suggestions, and chat coaching
Cloudinary
Cloud storage for progress photos and profile pictures
Apple HealthKit
Step count and active energy data (read only, with your permission)
Open Food Facts
Barcode product lookup for packaged foods
Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, THAT NUTRITION ESTIMATES WILL BE ACCURATE, THAT AI-GENERATED SUGGESTIONS WILL BE APPROPRIATE FOR YOUR SPECIFIC HEALTH SITUATION, THAT ADVERTISEMENTS WILL BE RELEVANT OR APPROPRIATE, OR THAT DATA WILL NEVER BE LOST.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HELOQ AND ITS DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO HEALTH OUTCOMES RESULTING FROM FOLLOWING AI-GENERATED NUTRITION SUGGESTIONS, INACCURATE CALORIE OR MACRO ESTIMATES, DATA LOSS OR SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS, ACTIONS TAKEN BASED ON AI INSIGHTS, OR CONTENT DISPLAYED IN THIRD-PARTY ADVERTISEMENTS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Heloq and its developer from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.
Termination
You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account from within the App. We may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Data deletion follows the process described in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify you of significant changes through an in-app notice.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
